About Us

MOTHERLODE MEDIA is a digital content company, specialising in building centralised digitised media archives and creating compelling social media channels and digital marketing campaigns. We consult and deliver digital media projects for high profile entertainment and media companies, profiles and organisations.

We started out many moons ago, digitising and licensing archive media before the advent of the web, and have over 15 years experience creating large scale multimedia marketing campaigns and building comprehensive digital archives.

We run a network of project managers, frontend designers, backend coders, video producers, archivists, content editors and technical infrastructure managers.  We also partner up with our network of agencies to provide the best platform or campaign for your brief.

Clients include The Beatles and Apple Records, National Geographic, Universal Music, Discovery Access, IE Music and HMV, and we have produced award winning campaigns with long lasting relationships with our clients and partners.

Live at the BBC campaign profiled as one of the top digital campaigns of the year in Music Ally

Our Live at the BBC Vol2 Digital campaign was profiled as one of the best digital music campaigns of 2013 by Music Ally, a music trade and strategy organisation.

For the final Sandbox of 2013 we look at the best digital music campaigns of the year. They include the bells-and-whistles big-budget productions as well as those run on a shoestring. They also range from cutting-edge new artists to the jewels of the catalogue business, taking in a variety of genres and niches along the way. We speak to the marketing people behind them and they explain how they did things, why they did them and what the results were. The 25 included work as a fantastic snapshot of the year and show just how diverse and exciting the sector is.

Minifilms for Live at the BBC Volume 2

We have made a series of minifilms around the Live at the BBC Volume 2 to deliver to social media channels.

First chapter is here:

The Beatles were touring to get publicity, working hard to make it. They had grown up on the BBC, and at that time the radio was the way the nation were entertained.  Playing live on BBC radio was their chance to reach a much bigger audience…

We are just rolling out the digital campaign for the new Beatles album “On Air: Live at the BBC Volume 2″ – new site, streaming audio, video podcasts and more.  Always great to get to work with such interesting content.

The National Geographic film and photography spans the best of the National Geographic Society’s rich 125-year history of storytelling.

We helped National Geographic with the creation of a new brand – NatGeoCreative and designed and built web interfaces for their film and photography collections, and a site to showcase the National Geographic photographers who deliver their stunning images.

This was an incredible project to have the privilege to work on – and working most inspiring visual content its hard not to get distracted.
